Studio PolIcies

Here are a list of our studio policies

KEEPING TRACK OF STUDIO TIME

-
No written contracts or legally-binding agreements will be made at the start of a new project. We prefer a good faith system along with on time payments.
-
We will keep an Excel Database Spreadsheet of time used in the studio and update it each session.
-
Entries are made to the spreadsheet at the end of each session with the artist present so there is agreement at all times between the artist and the studio as to the time spent in recording.
-
Session times are rounded to the nearest half hour in the artist's favor.

PAYMENTS

-
Payment for studio services in the form of cash is preferred, though locally-drawn personal checks and money orders are also acceptable.
-
Artists are expected to pay for time used at the end of each session.
-
Progress on a project will halt once all tracking is done so that the band / artist has a chance to pay the studio time. Once payment for all studio time is received in full we can begin mixing.
-
DO NOT ASK ..Never will a digital copy of a mixed or unmixed project, mastered or unmastered, leave the studio unless the entire balance of the project is paid in full to the Curve Studio.

COMPLETING A PROJECT

-
Once the project is mixed and mastered (if in house) We will verify the mix in various systems and once all parties are satisfied and balance paid in full. The the project will be released to the artist.
- We will provide a DVD copy of all tracks rendered at the Curve. We can also provide an external hard drive with the data copied.
